P.S. Thank You soooooo much for posting this and making me aware of it!
I too am a Ophiuchus! And this explains so many things for me! A couple of weeks ago I had a very vivid dream about wrestling a snake, when the snake came toward me to attack I grabbed it by its head and sewed its mouth shut. I had no idea what this dream meant, and now with this new knowledge my intuition tells me that it is me trying to heal the world by sewing the mouth of illness/evil shut. I cannot remember ever dreaming about snakes before this dream, and then to find this out so soon after! No coincidence I think :) I had asked the angels for some kind of explanation and I got it! Also last night I kept thinking of the word "enki" over and over in my head. I thought I was remembering something from a movie, but the movie I was thinking of had nothing about "enki" in it. Then after doing some research for you I found out that not only do we share the same sign, but the word "enki" now makes sense because I read this, "The sign of Ophiuchus is patterned after the original 'Serpent Holder', Enki, a Sumerian god." I've gotten so much good energy from this group in friendship and knowledge! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Rachel aka Sariel |

![]() I found an older book of mine called "Urania's Mirror: A View Of The Heavens". This picture is one of the 32 constellation cards that come with the book. I find it rather interesting that the plate that this was originally printed from is plate number 12! Cool! Yes! Oh so cool! This book, "Urania's Mirror", was first published in 1825 and the prints were designed by an anonymous English lady. Here's what the book says about the serpent bearer on plate # 12: "...consisting of 74 stars, of which the principal is Ras-alhague, of the second or third mag. on the temple of Ophiuchus..." "...visible in the evening from May to December..." "...In 1604, a star appeared in the eastern foot of Serpentarius, but disappeared again the following year..." "...This constellation was originally Aesculapius, son of Apollo, and god of medicine, but killed by Jupiter with a thunderbolt for his skill, particularly in having restored Hippolytus to life. He is represented grasping a serpent, the symbol of medicine, as well as of prudence and vigilance. This constellation and Serpens are so blended, that they are usually reckoned as one." |
